Yangshuo is an incredible place in the south of China, and fairly close to paradise. The next two shots are the view from our hotel bedroom window of the Yulong river. Of course, we had to pay the princely sum of 21GBP for this accomodation, far above the 3GBP per night to stay away from the river. We thought we would splurge for a few nights!

The strange mountains or hills are called limestone karsts. Most of them are crazy parabola shapes.

One day in paradise we thought we’d check out Moon Hill, one fo the most famous hills around. This involved 15km of cycling in 40 degree heat past ancient farmers, ancient water buffalo, ancient villages, and new hotels, then a 30 minute walk up hill in the most humid air I’ve ever encountered in my short life. But the view was worth it as you can see.
